Fans of the acclaimed Horizon<\/em> franchise have reason to celebrate: a cinematic adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn<\/em> is moving full steam ahead. Thanks to court documents from a recent legal dispute between Sony and PlayStation against Tencent, concrete new details regarding the film’s timeline have emerged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirmed by Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions\u2014Sony’s dedicated studio for film and TV collaborations and adaptations\u2014the movie is slated to begin filming in 2026, with the goal of hitting theaters in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
